As a parent with 3 children attending Canterbury New Initiative, I have seen first-hand the benefits of children being in a truly caring and nurturing environment. They have all grown in a way that has allowed them to develop at their own pace in a place that appreciates the value of creativity, emotional well-being and individuality.
After leaving University of London, Goldsmiths’ College with a degree in Music, I worked in Zimbabwe for 3 years with VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas). Upon my return to the UK, I worked mainly in the insurance industry and furthered my studies with a post-graduate degree in business administration. My experience to date has included roles at Direct Line, Tesco Bank and Chaucer Insurance before taking on my current role as Managing Director of Marmalade Insurance. My role as a trustee of Canterbury New Initiative focusses on the business planning and strategy.
