Drawing Lesson | St John's Fire
I started this drawing of a Saint John’s fire with, as usual, a colour circle. I began with a glowing red in the centre of the page spreading outwards. The orange, dark yellow and light yellow spread out round the top right and centre and the purple, turning to blue on the left. The dark and light green circled round the bottom of the page.
Then I had fun putting in the flickering flames – orange mainly – and then some big dark sticks for the bonfire. You can press hard with the flames and the wood to make your fire really glow. See if you can make your flames jump and sparkle. Have fun!
Lastly, I worked on the green at the bottom of the page, mixing the two greens together and drawing a few plants.
