Beth attended the Canterbury Steiner School as a child from the age of 4 through to 16. Her parents were founding members of the school.

Beth moved back to Kent to send her own son to the school 2 years before it closed. Her passion for this education and desire to see it flourish in Kent led to her working with a group of other parents, to start New School Canterbury.

Whilst studying Japanese at university, Beth began a career in retail management that led to a focus on HR and Training and Development. In 2008, Beth and her husband to be, moved back to Kent from London and opened their own Ethical Children's Clothing Shop in Canterbury.
